I Knew
I originally wrote this song in 2011 with a different melody and chord structure. In 2016, while experimenting with a looper during one of my airport gigs, I stumbled upon a layered, arpeggiated arrangement that fit the lyrics from the original version. The song is designed to sound like a heartfelt love song—until the chorus at the end, which reveals it to be a lament.

Wrote this song in July back in 2024 as an homage to the band Morphine. During the recording of the sax solo at the end I threw in an homage to the Dana Colley sax solo from their song, Head With Wings.
