Emmanuel del Casal has spent over 30 years developing one of the most well-rounded careers in Seattle music. As a bassist, his original project Bass & Beats explores the deep-pocket funk grooves and jazz-soul fusion he has loved since the beginning, while his broader professional profile spans private events, corporate engagements, and collaborative work across a wide spectrum of genres. He is perhaps best known for leading Jazz in the Georgian at Seattle's Olympic Hotel — a Friday and Saturday night residency that ran for 13 consecutive years and closed with a New Year's Eve performance on December 31, 2015. Del Casal's approach to live performance reflects decades of experience reading a room and delivering exactly what it needs. Whether anchoring a groove-heavy funk set or providing the backbone for a sophisticated private event, his musicianship is understated, confident, and deeply felt.
